Ravichandran Ashwin on Friday scripted a couple of records when he took 6 wickets against Australia in the 2nd day of the 4th and final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The wily veteran became the leading-wicket taker among Indian bowlers against Australia and also the joint-leading wicket-taker in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with 113 wickets.
He also surpassed India legend Anil Kumble and became the bowler with the most 5-wicket haul in India with 26. Ashwin is now the bowler to take second-highest five-wicket hauls at home behind SAri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan and is tied with Rangana Herath.
